About & Location
Where is the Chabad Jewish Center of San Marco located?
We are located at 1563 Alford Pl #4, Jacksonville, FL 32207. We are the central point for Jewish life in the San Marco and Downtown Jacksonville areas, near the Southbank Riverwalk. We are proud to be the local Chabad hub for residents and visitors in the surrounding urban core neighborhoods, including Brooklyn, Riverside, Avondale, Murray Hill, and Springfeild.
What is Chabad?
Chabad is a worldwide Jewish outreach and education movement that promotes Jewish awareness and community connection through an open and welcoming environment for all Jews.
Are Chabad programs only for Orthodox Jews?
No. Chabad serves Jews from all backgrounds and levels of observance. Most of our attendees are not Orthodox. Everyone is welcome and respected.

What networking opportunities are available for young professionals?

Do you offer Bar/Bat Mitzvah lessons or Torah study?
Yes! We provide personalized preparation for Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, as well as one-on-one Torah study and group classes on Kabbalah, Jewish law, and more. All levels are welcome. Contact us for more details.
Community Services
How can I request a Rabbi visit at Baptist Hospital Downtown?
We provide hospital visitation for Jewish patients in local Jacksonville hospitals (including UF - University of Florida, Baptist, and St. Vincents Hospitals) to offer prayer and support. Please contact us to request a visit for yourself or a loved one.
Where can I find kosher food in Jacksonville?
There are several local groceries and resources that offer kosher options in Jacksonville and Northeast Florida. Click here for a current list of kosher-friendly locations in the city.
Can I daven with a Minyan or stay for Shabbos?
Yes. We host Shabbat and holiday Minyanim. We can also help arrange home hospitality with local families in San Marco if you are visiting for the weekend.
Do you offer prison visitation or wedding services?
Yes. We provide spiritual guidance for Jewish inmates and officiate at kosher Jewish weddings, including pre-marriage counseling and guidance.
Support & Involvement
How is Chabad of San Marco funded?
We are an independently operated center funded entirely by local donations from the Jacksonville community. We do not receive funding from Chabad headquarters.
